Parks, pools and plays are just a few of the fun things to enjoy in Yuma.  The City of Yuma offers residents and visitors a variety of recreation options:

   -   Visit one of over 40 parks and enjoy a walk, bike ride or family picnic.  
​   -   Cool off at one of six public pools and water features or take a dip in the Colorado
​        River at Centennial Beach and Gateway Park.  
  -    Catch a play or performance at the Historic Yuma Theatre or take a peek at local art at
        the Yuma Art Center.  

​Golf in Yuma

With sunshine to spare and beautiful scenery in all directions, golf in Yuma is a natural. Over the years, our area has earned high marks from experts like Golf Digest magazine, in part because the ratio of courses to population keeps the sport so affordable.

With 16 diverse area courses offering a total of 234 holes, every golfer can find the right match, whether seeking a challenge or just some low-key recreation.


We might be in the desert, but Yuma is surrounded by water!  We have a variety of places to bring your boat, jet skis, camp gear, and fishing rod.


In September each year, Yuma is a prime dove-hunting area.  Grain fields provide nesting cover and food for the two main species hunted here, the mourning dove and the white-winged dove.

Over 40 miles of smooth sand is just a 15-minute drive from Yuma.  The Imperial Sand Dunes acts as a magnet for off-road enthusiasts in all but the hottest months and welcomes more than one million visitors every year.
